[attr="class","lars"] pokemon tag @tag words 276 notes another one for the wish list! Yes. | It didn’t take too long for him to spot something moving up ahead.
Maybe it was a good thing he didn’t have a Pokémon companion out and actively traveling with him, because it would’ve ruined the element of surprise. He felt his PokéGear vibrate, before quickly checking it—and then seeing that the wild Pokémon it had spotted was one of those that he was actively searching for!
Well, talk about lucky… he thought with a bit of a smirk on his face as he quickly pulled a random Pokéball to full size and sent its occupant forward—watching as his Marshtomp emerged from the beam of red light and landed quietly on the grass.
“Quiet, now. Try to take it by surprise?” he said, before a nodding motion came from the dual-type, quickly launching a powerful Hydro Pump at the Braixen, who’d been practicing its flame-wielding moves, blowing out flames and puffing it on a wand it stuck in its tail.
A sudden yelp came from the Fire-type, turning its attention to the direction of where the Water-type attack came from; but before it could retaliate with a Fire Blast a powerful Earthquake shook the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately it had knocked him off-balance, but the damage had already been done—a wildly-cast Fire Blast went careening off into the sky where it exploded in a burst of fire; before another Hydro Pump slammed into the Fire-type’s face.
One more localized Earthquake shook the area, before a beam of red light flashed forward, attempting to capture the Braixen within tis depths before the Marshtomp chased the occupied Pokéball and attempted to catch it with its flipper-fins.
